European elections: the RN wants to convince its voters to vote
(France 2)
Throughout France, the National Rally is organizing public meetings to encourage voters to travel, a few months before the European elections.
In Grandvillars (Territoire de Belfort), the National Rally is organizing a public meeting. A party executive is trying to collect voters one by one before the European elections. Many in the public are convinced. Others, potential voters, came out of curiosity. The RN troops hope to mobilize as much as possible. The party fears a lack of interest in the European elections.
The RN suffered from demobilization in 2019
This discreet campaign aims to inflict a defeat on Emmanuel Macron. “We are on the ground, we are mobilized, we will ensure that there are as few abstentions as possible”, assures Hélène Laporte, RN vice-president of the National Assembly. Young people are present in the audience, but also retirees. In 2019, during the previous European elections, one in two voters did not travel. The RN had suffered from demobilization, despite promising polls.
