“The writings of Constance Le Grip are misleading, politicized, dishonest”, defends himself, Philippe Ballard, guest of “8:30 am franceinfo”, Sunday June 4, 2023. The RN deputy from Oise reacted to the report of the commission of inquiry into foreign interference requested by the RN on the party’s links with the Russia. Renaissance MP Constance Le Grip is the rapporteur for this text. Jean-Philippe Tanguy (delegate president of the RN group at the Assembly) led the debates.

The conclusions of the commission’s report were revealed in the press (RMC and Mediapart) on Thursday 1 June. It is written that the National Front, today the National Rally, was a “drive belt” of Russian power. The expression is used to describe Marine Le Pen’s attitude after “illegal annexation” of Crimea by Russia in 2014, and more particularly its defense of a referendum organized for the occasion.

Philippe Ballard therefore remains on the defensive line put forward by the RN this week: “We learned nothing”he says before adding: “All that is pschitt. He will see a boomerang effect”.
