The Rioland company sets up in La Souterraine and plans to create 200 to 250 jobs

This is very good news for employment in Creuse: Rioland leather goods company will soon implant a production workshop at La Souterraine. It will take over the former premises of the “De Fursac” brand, rue de Malherbaud. 200 to 250 jobs should be created. “The group intends to launch its recruitment process as early as 2022”, indicates the prefecture of Creuse in a press release.

The Rioland group, mainly based in Indre, shapes products for major luxury brands. He currently employs 760 people at eight sites from the Center-Val-de-Loire region. To welcome this new production workshop, the Creuse was in competition with other sites of Grand Est and Hauts-de-France regions.

“This announcement comes after several months of collective work between the services of the State, the Region, the community of municipalities of the Pays sostranien and the actors of employment policy and vocational training“, indicates the prefecture of Creuse.

The Rioland installation must be formalized Monday, December 6, in the presence of the President of the New Aquitaine Region, Alain Rousset, local elected officials and the Prefect of Creuse Virginie Darpheuille.
