While the government announced Monday, December 27 the return of outdoor and indoor gauges from Monday, January 3, voices are raised to denounce the exception made to political meetings.

Concert halls and stadiums packed to capacity… An image that we should expect not to see any more from Monday, January 3, with the return of the indoor and outdoor gauges. The Toulon (Var) rugby club, which was to host La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime) for a match in ten days, will only be able to accommodate 5,000 people, instead of the 17,000 initially planned. “At home, the fervor and enthusiasm of the supporters drives us. As a player, you feel galvanized”, reports a player. Same disappointment at the Vannes football club (Morbihan), which is due to play against PSG on January 3.

Indoors, the gauge is even tighter: only 2,000 people. In Paris, the Palais des Sports will thus have to sacrifice half of its available places, a significant shortfall. Some artists also denounce the exception made to political meetings. For example, singer Eddy de Pretto declared himself “presidential candidate” on social networks, to highlight this imbalance.
