The Minister of Health, Brigitte Bourguignon, called on the French, Tuesday June 28, 2022, to put the mask back on public transport. This is not an obligation, but an incentive.

Tuesday June 28, 2022, the mask is still not compulsory in public transport, but it is now recommended by the government. An incentive that does not convince most users. “I work in a school and we don’t wear a mask, so here I don’t think it’s more dangerous in transport than in schools”explains a Parisian at the tram exit.

Covid-19 contaminations have been on the rise for three weeks with 55,000 new daily cases. So, for some, wearing the mask is a reflex. “For me, the Covid has not completely disappeared. I see it starting again, so I think that to protect ourselves, we are obliged to continue the mask, even if it is hot”, explains a woman. Making the mask compulsory in transport is not relevant for the government. The Minister of Health prefers to speak of incitement.
