The sages of the Constitutional Council finally annulled the results of around thirty polling stations in France, including three in Pas-de-Calais and one in the North.

But in polling station No. 1 in Audincthun (Pas-de-Calais), south of Saint-Omer, there was no member when a magistrate passed delegate of the constitutional council. “Such an irregularity is likely to lead to errors and encourage fraud”explains the sages, the 291 votes cast were canceled.

The electoral card is not compulsory to vote, but, on the other hand, it is necessary to present at least an identity document. In polling station No. 1 in Ghyvelde, south of Bray-Dunes (Nord), no identity document was requestedunlike “article R.60 of the electoral code for municipalities with more than 1,000 inhabitants”. The 627 votes cast were therefore cancelled.

An office closed from 1 p.m. in Guinecourt (Pas-de-Calais)

The town of Guinecourt, near Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise (Pas-de-Calais), has about twenty inhabitants. At 1 p.m., this second-round Sunday, the magistrate delegate of the constitutional council found the door closed on going to the only polling station from the village. However, the vote is open until 7 p.m. Only 13 ballots were counted in this polling station, and all were therefore cancelled.

An assessor denied access to an office in Harnes (Pas-de-Calais)

The 663 ballots from polling station No. 1 in the town of Harnes (Pas-de-Calais), near Lens, were canceled. A complaint has been raised: an assessor appointed by one of the candidates was refused access to the polling station, “in violation of the provisions of article R.44 of the electoral code”.
