As winter and the cold approach, the French flock to the Restos du Cœur, which fill up more and more each year.
In Seclin, in the North, the Restos du Cœur center has opened its doors to its regulars, but also to newcomers, who have grown in number over the years. The assistance provided by the association allows many households and people to meet their needs, despite their low income. “Fortunately they are there, because otherwise, I do not know how I would have done. I am all alone with children“, testifies Nadia.
The crisis linked to the health situation also impacted the association. Among the new beneficiaries, some lost their jobs during the pandemic. “It’s been a while since I last came“, testifies a mother. For some, it is a relief to be able to eat properly and to meet people who listen to them, thanks to the many volunteers of the Restos du Cœur.
