It is always with a smile that André Lauga comes to our studios on Place Clemenceau in Pau to present the new menu of his restaurant Le Sud, which we can enjoy on the terrace if we wish. It really looks like the south from the entrance to this restaurant which has had several lives. An address bought 27 years ago in very pleasant circumstances, André Lauga says that with Brigitte, his lover, they did everything at the same time.
It was in 2004 that the restaurant Le Barbecue became Le Sud. The orientation of the restaurant has been reversed. The terrace is therefore to the south.
André Lauga tells us about its chef François, a precious person who has evolved with the history of this establishment. François is a cook and pastry chef, undeniable assets when discovering the new proposals of the house. André Lauga came to give us a taste of one of the desserts from the new menu, the “Wonderfully Strawberry” which is quite surprising with a touch of pepper.
