Resistance figure Missak Manouchian, shot by the Nazis, enters the Pantheon on Wednesday February 21.

Resistance fighter Missak Manouchian, shot at the age of 37 by the Nazis, is due to enter the Pantheon on Wednesday February 21. He was one of the people appearing on the red Nazi propaganda poster plastered in the streets to defend the execution of resistance fighters, all foreigners. His last letter from those sentenced to death will be faithfully transcribed by Aragon and will inspire Léo Ferré’s song.

A strong emotion still today

Sixty years after Léo Ferré, the group Feu! Chatterton takes up “The Red Poster”. “Each time it is a wave which (…) takes us very high in what human emotion can be“, explains Raphaël de Pressigny, drummer and clarinetist of the group.
