The resigning vice-president of Hydro-Québec, Éric Filion, recruited by Bombardier

The executive vice-president and chief operating officer of Hydro-Québec, Éric Filion, joins his former boss at Bombardier.

Bombardier President and CEO Eric Martel, who formerly headed Hydro-Quebec, announced Monday that Mr. Filion would join his management team.

Éric Filion will assume the role of Vice President, Programs and Supply Chains – a new position within the company.

In his new job, Mr. Filion will take care of the company’s relations with its suppliers and the continuous improvement of the aircraft. It’s a homecoming for him, who had previously led operational and program activities at Bombardier.

Last week, Mr. Filion caused a surprise by announcing his departure from Hydro-Québec. The news came a few weeks after the announcement of the departure of President and CEO Sophie Brochu.

Mr. Filion will end his mandate at Hydro-Québec on February 17 and will take up his new duties at Bombardier on February 20.
