In Marseille, access to the Calanque de Sugiton is limited to avoid overtourism. Reservations are now mandatory. This is also the case for Pierre Tombée beach.

It is now necessary to book to access certain creeks of the Bouches-du-Rhône. “This quota is being put in place, 400 people, whereas previously the average attendance was 2,000 people, and has even risen to 2,500 people per day”reports journalist Laure Gardner, in duplex from the creek of Sugiton (Bouches-du-Rhône).

The measure concerns the creek of Sugiton as well as that of Pierre Tombée (Bouches-du-Rhône). It is effective Sunday June 26, then will be again on July 3, before becoming daily from July 10 to August 21. “Free and fast, booking is made on the Calanques National Park website”, adds the journalist. It can only be done from 9 am, three days before the visit. An email will then be sent with a QR code, which should be presented on site, at the screening point. It will be possible to book eight times per person during the limited access period.
