Their salvation comes at a cost: 7,500 euros per year for six years. The price of an education system that also suits them more. “In France, there were 450 per class, here there are 70”, explained a 1st year student. The teachers are all Romanian but many have done part of their studies in France. This arrival of the French does not only make people happy, the Romanians have to take an entrance exam. Their arrival, with greater purchasing power, also caused the price of real estate in Iasi to soar.
