“The reform must be improved, it is a certainty”, says the vice-president of the Republicans, François-Xavier Bellamy Sunday February 26 on France Inter, while the pension reform arrives before the Senate next Tuesday. The right hears “enrich the text”, in particular For “fight against the injustices that remain in the reform”explains the MEP.

François-Xavier Bellamy first denounces the “huge” inequalities between the retirement pensions of women and men. “The reform risks further aggravating the situation”, insists the number 2 on the right. He wants to restore the bonus for pregnancies and “give women the opportunity to choose between earning more or leaving earlier” retired.

LR still “favorable” to lowering the legal age

The MEP also wants to remove the grandfather clause, which allows those who were hired before the reform to continue to benefit from a special regime. “It’s an absolute injusticeassures François-Xavier Bellamy. It’s budgetary but it’s also a question of justice. The taxpayer should not pay for structurally loss-making pension schemes.”

Even if he assures us that Les Républicains are “in favor of a reform that will extend working hours”the MEP ensures that his camp will discuss to modify the text in order to “to win points for the French. Emmanuel Macron himself said that the reform could be improved, I don’t see why we wouldn’t say it, we too,” he breathes.
