Be more effective in the event of a disturbing disappearance. It is the objective of the convention which has just been signed between the gendarmerie of Deux-Sèvres and the Red Cross. Concretely, volunteers and first aiders from the association can be mobilized in the field and participate in research. You should know that two to three disappearances are reported every day in the departement. Fortunately most of the time, people are found.
Help with research…
The mobilization of the Red Cross will make it possible to have reinforcements in terms of number. In case of disappearance, “the question of the workforce and especially their commitment in a short time is decisive”, explains Colonel Ludovic Vestieu, head of the Deux-Sèvres gendarmerie group. The Red Cross will also provide “skills and abilities in the field of rescue”continues the colonel if a person is found injured.
… and set up a center for workers and families if necessary
The Red Cross can also go up if necessary “a reception center for those involved with a capacity of 150 people. We will be able, from a party room or other, to provide coffee, etc. for the responders, civilians or families affected by the disappearance “says Nicolas Roux, director of emergency and first aid at the Deux-Sèvres delegation of the Red Cross.
A similar partnership should soon be signed in Vienne.
