The ready-to-wear brand Kookaï partially taken over by Antonelle-Un jour elsewhere

This takeover will help preserve 70 jobs, out of the 220 employees employed in the brand’s clothing stores.

The ready-to-wear brand Kookaï, placed in receivership in February, announced Thursday, November 30 that it would be partially taken over by the French clothing group Antonelle-Un jour elsewhere.“Faced with six other competitors, it was to Antonelle that the judge transferred the Kookaï brand which had been looking for a buyer since September 15, 2023”specifies a press release.

“The group presented the most favorable offer for the company since it is taking over 16 stores, 17 corners and also preserving 70 jobs”, he continues. Kookaï has around a hundred stores in France and is notably present in Spain, Switzerland, the United States and Australia. The group employs 220 employees. Stores not taken over will be closed.

“We are very happy to have taken over this brand and thus avoided its disappearance. It is a brand that we knew in our youth and that we particularly like. We will do everything to restore its letters of nobility”assured Samy Cohen, president of the Antonelle-UJA group, in the press release.
