In the morning, several police officers dressed in protective suits dismantled a clandestine synthetic drug production laboratory inside a commercial building on Rue De Miniac, near the junction of highways 13 and 40.
According to the RCMP, it is still too early to say what type of narcotics were produced in this commercial premises, which did not appear suspicious from the outside. It is also too early to know the quantity of drugs found inside.
On the other hand, the authorities confirmed that they had arrested a suspect in the morning in a residence in Montreal.
Law enforcement should provide a full assessment of the operation over the next few hours or days.
This police intervention comes just two weeks after the dismantling of a large clandestine laboratory discovered in a commercial premises located on Saint-Germain Street, once again in the Saint-Laurent borough.

More than two million methamphetamine tablets were then seized as part of the operation, which spanned three days. Five suspects were also arrested.
“Significant quantities of chemicals used in the manufacture of illicit tablets, two tablet presses as well as sophisticated equipment allowing large-scale production were also seized,” the RCMP indicated at the time.
Wednesday’s dismantling would, however, not be linked to that carried out two weeks ago in the same district.
