the Rassemblement national is looking for new profiles for its future deputies

Back to the field for the RN. Less than four days after the presidential election, won by Emmanuel Macron, negotiations are intensifying behind the scenes seven weeks before the legislative elections June 12 and 19.

The acting president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, must officially kick off the national campaign on Thursday in Fréjus, in the Var. And the operation is sizeable: the party of Marine Le Pen nwon only eight seats in 2017, including only six today. This time, the far-right party hopes to obtain the double in order to form a group in the Assembly, namely fifteen elected. For this, the RN wants in particular to highlight new profiles.

“New generation”

So many new faces to try to embody a “new generation” RN. For them, these will also be the best constituencies. There are names unknown to the general public but who have proven themselves during the campaign, such as Jean- Philippe Tanguy, ex-Debout la France, the party of Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, and one of the main architects of the presidential election, Laure Lavalette, elected representative of the Var and spokesperson or Laurent Jacobelli, ex-sir sponsorships.

Profiles to forget the old guard and have effective deputies, we want to believe. “It wouldn’t be luxury“, tackles a party executive. It must be said that the handful of RN deputies has existed very little for the past five years. In the minds of party leaders: the example of the Insoumis and their 17 deputies who scrapped against the executive for 5 years, which some see as a launching pad for Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s presidential campaign, and which harbors great hopes.

But in reality”having a group is playable, but it is not easy“, recalls an RN executive. And it will be a priori without an alliance with Eric Zemmour and his Reconquest movement! by an end of inadmissibility.
