Pressure on the Socialist Party

Could the rally take place with the PS and its probable head of the European list, Raphaël Glucksmann? The leadership of the PS must come out of “ambiguity”urged the radical leader. “Return to a government party faithful to its values and convictions”he enjoined, suggesting to Raphaël Glucksmann not to be “the leader of a moratorium list”in reference to “moratorium” decreed by the PS to suspend its participation in Nupes.

“Mid-February, if nothing has progressed, our list will be presented,” Guillaume Lacroix’s entourage told AFP. If this list sees the light of day, it would be the fifth on the left in the 2024 European elections, with those of the socialists, ecologists, communists and rebels. This would be the PRG’s first independent list in European elections since that led by Bernard Tapie in 1994, when the party was called the Movement of Left Radicals.
