Every evening, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine welcomes France 5 viewers to her loft stage for the program “C à vous”. A role of hostess that she has held since September 2017, succeeding Alessandra Sublet then Anne-Sophie Lapix. Receiving the personalities who make the cultural news of the moment, the second part of his program takes place in front of a good meal prepared live by different chefs who are invited in turn. And, since then, we got used to his bursts of laughter often masking embarrassing situations… This Friday, September 16 was no exception. The 51-year-old presenter had invited the endearing duo Dany Boon and Line Renaud, in full promotion of the film bringing them together once again “A beautiful race”, which will be released in theaters on September 21. After a few friendly exchanges tinged with familiar anecdotes between the two actors who have a real filial relationship, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, obviously her head elsewhere, announces the presence of the chef on set: “Good evening dear Rebecca!”. this is only expected in the second part of the program. Then, seized with his famous nervous giggles, he immediately resumes: “But there is no Rebecca!” And Patrick Cohen retorts, a bit amused and used to the blunders of the host: “Everything will be fine. .” Finally, dinner time arrives, and the latter, delighted, immediately launches: “Petitplaisir for Patrick Cohen, it’s sweetbreads. Do you like sweetbreads?”, she asks her guests and columnists. Another little moment of perceptible hesitation which the chef decides to put an end to: “You mustn’t say it on the air. He does not like sweetbreads.” She specifies. “Everything is fine. If I love it”, then assures Dany Boon, to come to the rescue of the blunder of the journalist who notices for herself: “I asked exactly the question that you shouldn’t pose. It’s still incredible!”, in the grip of his usual hilarity.
“We must not react!”
A sequence that recalls so many others, like this time when she offers a meat-based dish to the notorious vegetarian that is Julien Doré. Or this time when she proudly announces: “On the menu tonight, a bouillabaisse”, while the chef had spoken to her about pied-paquets. She insists: “You didn’t tell me earlier that it’s was a bouillabaisse?”, to which the chef replies: “Absolutely not”. This immediately triggers mockery from Patrick Cohen and François-Xavier Demaison. Others have paid the price, like Jean-Paul Rouve who replies straight out: “You must not react!” in the face of the bad pun of Anne-Elizabeth Lemoine who had declared: “We love you because you killed the French.” And the list of his television blunders is still very long… Like his inability to remember the name of Faustine Bollaert’s new show, presented in January 2022 on France 2: “Un flirt & une danse” which will become several times in the mouth from the host: “A flirt & a dance” which will exasperate her colleague who will end the show, annoyed, hands on her face. Or, his annoying tendency to spoil the end of films presented before their release. She had done the trick to Lucien Jean-Baptiste, Jarry and Victoria Bedos! The actors were red with shame…
It would therefore be to wonder if these regular blunders would not simply be part of the charm of “C à vous”, bringing together hundreds of thousands of viewers on France 5 every evening. A signature that belongs only to Anne-Elisabeth The monk !
