The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League postpones the resumption of its activities

MONTREAL – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League has once again postponed the resumption of its schedule, scheduled for the week of January 17.

In a brief press release published Friday noon, the management of the Courteau circuit explained that it had made this decision “since there is no clear horizon on the relaxation of the restrictions of COVID-19”.

At the earliest, adds the QMJHL, the resumption of activities will take place on February 1. The league specifies that its objective remains to allow teams to play their 68 games on the schedule.

The last games of the QMJHL date back to December 18, when the league had presented a complete program of nine games. Since then, a total of 130 games have been postponed.

Since the start of the season, the QMJHL teams have each played between 29 and 32 games.
