What becomes of Chimene Badi?
As far back as she can remember, Chimène Badi dreamed of becoming a singer. His career began with the show “Popstars”, it is her family that pushes her to register for the casting. The song performed on the show “The desire to love” by Daniel Levi. Chimène is passionate about French variety. For six albums from 2003 to 2015, with singles sold in the hundreds of thousands, including the hit “Between us”. Chimène Badi accompanied Johnny on tour. Currently she is on tour with the songs from her latest album “Chimene” and she is coming to Grasse to present her new project, a new album of covers by Edith Piaf, whom she has admired since she was five years old.

The singer who confides this Saturday in Adrien Mangano of France Bleu Azur explains her project for an album re covers of Edith Piaf whose release is scheduled for January 20, 2023. She is proud to make the premiere of her new show in Grasse, a town linked to La Môme (it was in Plascassier that Piaf spent his last hours), during a long weekend dedicated to Edith.
The first extract from the album, the song “Non je ne regrette rien” which will be released this Friday, September 16, 2022:
“Piaf I knew her very young, very very young, thanks to my mother. I think I was 3-4 years old when I got my first Edith tape. Something is happening, I don’t I don’t know what it is. I just know that she provokes me to something rather crazy. I sometimes have the feeling that I have similarities of existence. When I sing Edith, I don’t know why, there are something that pierces me, that makes me go somewhere else. It’s passionate.”
