Candidates for the European elections now have less than a week to convince voters. This isn’t always easy for smaller lists.
Last straight before the European elections, which will be held on Sunday June 9, and last days to convince: this is the ambition of several small lists, which are aimed at the French. In total, there are 38 candidate lists for the upcoming European elections. Not all parties have the means to finance posters.
Below 3% of the vote, campaign costs are not reimbursed. This constrained budget forces them to make drastic choices, such as giving up printing their campaign posters or even ballot papers. So in the voting booth, you will not necessarily have all 38 lists in your polling station. Because the printing of these ballots, like that of professions of faith or electoral posters, is the responsibility of the candidates in the running. And that can add up to quite a bit of money.
