The investigation into the gunshot wound of Kendji Girac is progressing. On Wednesday April 24, the investigations delivered their first results: the bullet which injured the singer in the chest was indeed fired inside his caravan, before finishing its course outside the vehicle. According to a source close to the investigation, the shooting took place inside the passenger compartment at a time when the star was alone with his partner.
Kendji Girac will be heard by investigators
Kendji Girac initially claimed to have injured himself while handling the weapon, but his explanations did not convince the prosecution. “The first testimonies collected seemed confused, both regarding the circumstances of the events and the exact location where they occurred”, said the public prosecutor, in a press release. This is why the prosecution decided to open an investigation “under the qualification of attempted voluntary homicide”. The weapon was found and is still being analyzed by investigators. The singer must now be heard in the afternoon, as will his wife.
