the public of the JDA Dijon found their ex-champions

The reunion of the Dijon public with old acquaintances this Saturday evening at the Palais des Sports in Dijon. Axel Julien and Alexandre Chassang on the players’ side and Laurent Legname on the coaches’ bench have signed a return necessarily full of emotion in a room they know by heart.

Axel Julien is the former captain of Jeanne, Alexandre Chassang the ex-pivot, in the company of the coach, Laurent Legname all three spun in Bourg last summer. But they will remain forever in the history of the club for having taken Dijon to the final of the French championship last season (final lost 74 to 87 against ASVEL who won their 20th title there!) and especially for having won the Leaders Cup 2020!

The ex-cracs of the JDA were treated to a nice ovation from the Dijon public while the president of the Jeanne, Thierry Degorce, gave them a small gift. Before kick-off the JDA was 9th in the standings, the JL Bourg, 12th. In the first leg, the Dijonnais won, winning their first away win of the season. But this Saturday there was no photo between the two teams. The JL Bourg who outclassed a catchy JDA 88 to 54.
