Guest of the 4 Vérités on Thursday August 8, Frédéric Valletoux, resigning Minister of Health, affirms that this measure is part of the Olympic charter. “Free healthcare during the Olympic Games is not a French specificity and it is the organizing committee that takes care of its financing, not health insurance!”he specifies on the Thomas Sotto set.

Visitors who may need care in the country’s hospitals. “There is no saturation”insists the resigning minister, despite the concerns of healthcare workers across the country, who are warning about working conditions, particularly in emergency services.
“The public hospital is a ship. We can decide on a Marshall Plan but that won’t get the caregivers out with the snap of a finger. It’s a long road but a lot has already been done.”explains Frédéric Valletoux. According to him, 400 beds have even been reopened in certain university hospitals in recent months. “We are on the right track, it’s just a long road,” he says.
