The victims’ relatives will not find comfort in justice. Four years after the knife attack at the headquarters of the police headquarters in Paris, which cost the lives of four people, the investigation by the investigating judges is ending and the prospect of a trial is receding. A notice of end of information was issued on Friday October 6, franceinfo learned from a judicial source, and the investigations did not make it possible to identify accomplices or people who may have participated in an agreement with a view to committing this attack. .
The assailant, Mickaël Harpon, a computer scientist at the police headquarters, had stabbed to death three police officers and an administrative agent on October 3, 2019 within the confines of the Paris police headquarters. He was then shot dead by a young peace guard in the prefecture courtyard.
The judicial investigation has not yet been closed, but it should be closed soon, after the final indictment that the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office must now draw up. In the absence of identified accomplices, it is very likely that there will never be a trial for this attack which remains classified as an attack, its terrorist nature being the subject of no debate.
