A one-year suspended prison sentence was requested on Monday, October 24 against host Jean-Marc Morandini, who is appearing before the Paris Criminal Court for “corruption of minors”. The prosecutor also asks the court to condemn the presenter of CNews to an obligation of care, an obligation to compensate the victims and a prohibition to rub shoulders with minors within the framework of his professional activities.
Jean-Marc Morandini is the subject of three complaints in this case. The first is that of a young man who claims that when he was 15, in 2013, the host made him sexual proposals by SMS. The second complainant assured, before withdrawing, that Jean-Marc Morandini had asked him to undress and reproduce a masturbation scene, when he found himself alone at the chronicler’s home, as part of a casting, in 2009. A third complaint “recently” filed, according to information from franceinfo, is that of a minor who accuses the columnist of having asked him for intimate photos.
Jean-Marc Morandini is also being prosecuted for sexual harassment against an actor, in another case. The date of this second trial is not yet known.
The date for deliberation has been set for December 5.
