The Montargis public prosecutor’s office announced, Friday June 21, that it had “grasped” after “discriminatory remarks” held in a report broadcast the day before in “Envoyéspecial” on France 2. We discovered Divine Kinkela, a caregiver, victim of racism on the part of her neighbors, activists of the National Rally. She claimed to be treated like “bonobo” and being targeted by monkey cries. Neighbors are filmed whistling and shouting at her “go to the doghouse”.
“The words and behavior observed could be criminalized as public and non-public insults of a racial nature, public provocation to discrimination and violence without racial incapacity, the Montargis public prosecutor’s office took up these facts”, writes the prosecution. It specifies that the maximum penalty incurred for these offenses and contraventions is three years in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.
The prosecution emphasizes that the“one of the people likely to be implicated” works at the Montargis court, and that he “immediately requested” a change of scene from the case to the public prosecutor’s office in Orléans.
