Five people were taken into custody on Friday after the death of a teenager in Viry-Châtillon.

The Evry public prosecutor announced that he had requested the provisional detention of four of the five people brought to court on Sunday April 8 after the death of a 15-year-old teenager beaten up on Thursday in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne). A 20-year-old adult, three 17-year-old minors and a 15-year-old minor were taken into custody late Friday afternoon. They come from the same siblings.
A judicial investigation has been opened “counts of murder against the four young men and voluntary abstention from preventing a crime against the minor”, specifies the prosecution in its press release. According to the first elements of the investigation and the statements of the accused, Shamseddine, 15 years old, was beaten up by a group of young people including two brothers for a dispute linked to their minor sister over “subjects relating to sexuality”said the prosecutor, Grégoire Dulin, in a press release.
For the fifth person involved, a minor aged 15 “who has no entry in his criminal record”the floor requires “placement in an educational establishment and a ban on appearing in Essonne”.
