The Paris prosecutor’s office requested on Thursday, September 26, a twelve-month suspended prison sentence against actor and director Nicolas Bedos, the franceinfo reporter learned on site. The prosecutor also requests a judicially supervised obligation of care.

Nicolas Bedos was on trial for sexual assault and harassment of three women, between 2018 and 2023. The actor denied being a “sexual attacker”. “I will never be a sexual aggressor, I do not impose”said the 45-year-old defendant. “We can talk about heaviness, we can talk about flirting (…) but there is no sexual intention”, he argued at the bar. Nicolas Bedos has repeated on numerous occasions that he has no memory of the facts with which he is accused and has vigorously denied having engaged in inappropriate behavior while admitting to having a problem with alcohol.

Also called to testify, the complainant expressed the consequences she claims to have suffered since the attack she denounces and the “fear” felt at the time of the events. “It costs so much to file a complaint, I can’t sleep anymore… I would have preferred it not to exist”testified the young woman, “but it’s serious”. “Can we be mistaken? No, there is no ambiguity”for his part declared the prosecutor in his indictment.

The first case dates back to the night of June 1 to 2, 2023, during an evening at a nightclub. A young woman accuses the director of having walked towards her, head down before extending his right hand to her penis, over her jeans. Two other young women also denounce sexual assault or harassment on the part of Nicolas Bedos and which also took place in evenings in May 2023 and June 2018. The court will render its decision on Tuesday October 22, at 1:30 p.m.
