After the death of three men, shot dead in Marseilles, this weekend, the prosecution announced Monday, October 3 the opening of an investigation for “intentional homicide in an organized gang and association of criminals with a view to the commission of felony”. The judicial police are in charge of the investigations.
On Saturday October 1, a 21-year-old man was the victim of intentional homicide on Avenue Camille Pelletan in the 3rd arrondissement of Marseille. Around 11:20 p.m., two individuals on scooters arrived at the scene. The passenger got out and fired at the victim. Hit twice, the man died of his injuries despite the intervention of the emergency services. The victim was known to the justice services and had been convicted of drug trafficking in January 2021. Two other people present at the scene were also slightly injured, the prosecution said. Numerous 7.62mm holsters were found at the scene.
The next day, Sunday October 2 at 8:55 p.m., two men aged 28 and 29 were also victims of intentional homicide by firearm on Boulevard Boues, still in the 3rd arrondissement. Quickly taken care of, they died in the hospital. One of the victims was known to the police.
At this stage of the investigations, no link has been established between these two cases, specifies the prosecution.
