The Orléans public prosecutor’s office is opening a preliminary investigation after accusations of racism surrounding US Orléans coach Bernard Casoni, France Bleu Orléans learned on Tuesday October 10. The coach is currently suspended. The public prosecutor, Emmanuelle Bochenek-Puren, indicates that she has opened an investigation for provocation of hatred or racial discrimination and for public insults of a racist nature.

Monday October 9, US Orléans opened an internal investigation. “Given the seriousness of the facts alleged, the club has decided to launch an internal investigation without delay” explained the club in a press release, specifying that it “will not make any comments on this situation until the outcome of this investigation”.

The next training session will take place behind closed doors

France Bleu Orléans indicates that the club canceled the press conference on Tuesday October 10 before the trip to Cholet on Wednesday October 11 counting for the 10th day of the National championship. Training at the Source stadium takes place behind closed doors, contrary to custom on the eve of matches.
