the program and the results of the 38th and last day

This 38th and final day of Ligue 1 promises to be epic. Nothing is decided for the clubs at the top of the table which will compete for the race for the podium and the European qualifications. Ditto for the teams at the bottom of the ranking and who fear relegation.

If the PSG has already been crowned for several days now, three clubs can still claim the podium: monaco, Marseilles and reindeer. Before the start of this last day, the Monegasques have the advantage, in particular thanks to a better goal difference compared to OM. But the club of the principality does not have a simple displacement since it goes to lens (7th).

But nothing will be easy for Marseille either. The Olympians receive Strasbourg (5th), who still hopes to win a qualifying place for the Europa League. A notch below, Rennes is in ambush. The Bretons can still claim the podium, synonymous with a place in the Champions League either by being qualified directly by finishing second, or via the preliminary round if they finish third. But for that, they depend on the results of Monaco and Marseille, and must win against Lille.

Still a notch below, three clubs have fourth place in their sights, synonymous with qualification for the Europa League. Rennes and Strasbourg are obviously concerned, as seen above, as well as Nice. Rennes are favorites since this place will go to them if they draw at least Lille, regardless of the results of the other two teams.

Strasbourg against Marseille and Nice against Reims are not masters of their destiny and must win their match if they want to take fourth place.

Contrary to the classification, nothing is played either for Saint Etienne, Metz and Bordeaux. The three clubs will fight a long-distance battle to avoid relegation. For Bordeaux, opposed to Brest, the mission turns out to be complicated, if not impossible. The Girondins are three points behind their direct opponents as well as a very significant goal difference.

In all likelihood, it is therefore between Saint-Etienne and Metz that the duel for 18th place will be played, which allows the play-offs to be played. The Greens move to Nantes, while Lorraine face PSG. For ASSE to take 18th place, it will have to do better than Metz.
