The 72-game season of this new league will begin on 1er January with Toronto facing New York at the Mattamy Athletic Center at 12:30 p.m. All three networks will broadcast the opening game.
The match will be broadcast by a team led by CBC Sports host Andi Petrillo. Other participants include Tessa Bonhomme and Cheryl Pounder of TSN, Anastasia Bucsis of CBC Sports, Hailey Salvian of The Athleticformer professional player Saroya Tinker and broadcaster Daniella Ponticelli, the league said.
The league has teams in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, New York, Boston and Minnesota. French-language coverage of all Montreal matches will be split between RDS, Radio-Canada and ICI Tou.tv.
TSN will broadcast playoff games and the 2024 LPHF championship.
The Montreal team will play its first match Tuesday evening, January 2, in Ottawa (at 7 p.m. on RDS and TSN). The club will then travel to Minnesota on January 6 and New York on January 10. The first home game will take place on January 13, at 3:30 p.m., at the Verdun Auditorium, against Boston.
