After five days of marching, the procession protesting for the release of Hamas hostages arrived in Jerusalem on Saturday, November 18.
25,000 demonstrators arrived in Jerusalem after five days of marching, on the afternoon of Saturday, November 18, to gather in front of the offices of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They came together to press for the release of the hostages, still held in the Gaza Strip by Hamas. In the procession are some of the hostages’ families, who criticize the government for not giving them enough information about the search for their loved ones.
“Every day they endure this horror is horror for us”
One of the demonstrators explains having marched towards Jerusalem to “maintaining awareness of the hostage issue as a top priority of the Israeli government“.”These hostages must be let free, their place is with us, with their family and every day they endure this horror is a horror for us.”, explains another walker. For a month, the Israeli Prime Minister has refused a ceasefire in Gaza, a condition imposed by Hamas for the release of the hostages.
