On Thursday May 26, the eco-responsible film prize was awarded for the first time. It rewards the French comedy “La cour des miracles”.

Aliona Antonova is a Ukrainian make-up artist, who left her country to flee the bombs, she lives her dream in Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes) where she makes up the stars. Thursday, May 26, the film La cour des miracles was presented at the festival. This French comedy, directed by Carine May and Hakim Zouhani, tells how a school goes green.

The fiction received the award for the most eco-responsible film and the film was shot in an ecological way. “Ban plastic water bottles on set. Everyone went to the set by metro or carpool“explains Carole Scotta, producer of “Haut et court”. In 75 years of the festival, only two directors have won a Palme d’Or. Jane Campion in 1993 for The Piano Lesson and Julia Ducourneau for Titane in 2021. The jury, chaired by Vincent Lindon now has two days to establish his prize list.
