The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, promises “32 billion additional euros” for the health system “within five years”

The head of government and the Minister of Health, Catherine Vautrin, visited on Saturday the pediatric emergencies, the adult emergencies, then the Samu regulation platform at the Dijon University Hospital.

The Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, and the Minister of Labor, Health and Solidarity, Catherine Vautrin, went to the university hospital center (CHU) of Dijon, Saturday January 13. “In the next five years, an additional 32 billion euros will be invested in our health system”declared the head of government to the press at the end of his visit. “The next budget that my government will have to present will be a historic budget for the public hospital”he added, promising “continuation of a massive investment for the hospital”.

“It is the increase in the budget for the health sector which was adopted in the last social security financing law”the Prime Minister’s entourage told franceinfo on Saturday afternoon. “This therefore concerns the hospital, but also community medicine. For the hospital specifically, the increase in resources will be 3 billion euros in 2024 compared to 2023.”

During this visit, Gabriel Attal and Catherine Vautrin went to the pediatric emergency room, the adult emergency room, then to the Samu regulation platform. “Our hospital and our caregivers are a national treasure”declared the Prime Minister.
