The Spanish Prime Minister has achieved a political tour de force. Pedro Sanchez signed a historic agreement with the party of Catalan separatist Carles Puigdemont. In exchange for their support, they obtained the future adoption of a very controversial amnesty law. Pedro Sanchez should be able to be returned to power.
During the ceremony commemorating Kristallnacht, where anti-Jewish pogroms were committed under the Nazi regime, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz assured that he would continue to fight against anti-Semitism. “Never again“, he notably promised, in a context of resurgence of anti-Semitic acts since the war between Israel and Hamas.
