The rise in inflation causes an increase in daily life products and the basket of 8 p.m.. Food is particularly affected.
The prices keep going up with the rise in inflation which continues to climb. The basket of 8 p.m. knows an increase of 6.8% compared to June 2021. Among the 30 selected products, foodstuffs are particularly concerned. Pasta is up 20.5% compared to the same date last year. Meat and eggs are up 17.3% and 14.7% respectively. Oil is one of the products that has increased the most with 36.1% more. Chocolate and flour are also strongly impacted.
If the increase is very significant, it is however not over. “We are counting on increases of another 2 to 3 points by the end of the summer, so these price increases are indeed not over. We hope for a stabilization rather by the end of the year“, deciphers Emmanuel Cannes, the business development manager of Niesling.
