The government has presented a new plan against smoking. In particular, it provides for a gradual increase in the price of a packet of cigarettes. This should reach 13 euros in 2026.
To reduce tobacco consumption, the government wants to use several levers. First of all, he wants to dissuade with prices. The pack of cigarettes will increase in two stages, +40 to 50 cents in 2025 to reach 12 euros and it will rise to 13 euros in 2027. Tobacco-free spaces will also be gradually extended to beaches, public parks and forests. It will also be impossible to smoke in front of educational establishments.

Finally, the last emblematic measure of this national plan provides for the ban on Puff, these disposable electronic cigarettes very popular among young people.
