Change of facade for the movement of Emmanuel Macron. The presidential party La République en Marche changes its name to Renaissance. It will be a “popular party which aims to be open” for “always make the choice of Enlightenment against obscurantism”, announced, Thursday, May 5, its general delegate Stanislas Guerini. Renaissance was already the name of the Macronist list in the 2019 European elections.

“Today we are initiating a movement to rebuild La République en Marche in order to be able to continue to expand this political movement created by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron a little over six years ago in a political party that will carry the Renaissance name”said Stanislas Guerini at a press conference in Paris.

In view of the legislative elections, the various parties of the presidential majority, including the MoDem and Horizons, are coming together in a confederation called “Together”. They will present a first salvo of investiture Thursday evening.
