“Characterized drunk driving facts.” This was confirmed, Sunday, October 23 to AFP, the public prosecutor of Epinal Frédéric Nahon after the arrest of François Vannson, Saturday, during a road check carried out by the gendarmes.
An investigation was also opened to determine whether the LR president of the Vosges departmental council initially refused to stop at this control. “She is entrusted to the department’s road safety squadron”added the prosecutor.
According to Vosges Matin, the gendarmes were carrying out a road check on the RN57, near the town of Epinal, and, overtaken by a patrol, François Vannson was checked at that time with a positive blood alcohol level of 0, 8 grams per liter of blood.
“I regret”, he told France Bleu Sud Lorraine. But the local elected official denies having refused to comply. Also questioned by telephone by France 3 Grand Est, he affirmed that it was “tutterly false”. “It’s a story of 200 or 300 meters. I parked in the first parking lot I saw”he reported to our colleagues.
