Pierre Titley, founder and president of Re/Max Québec, has died, the real estate group announced Monday. He was 79 years old. His family did not wish to disclose the causes of his death.

Founded in the United States, the network of franchised brokers was established in Quebec in 1981 under the leadership of Mr. Titley.

Since then, the company has established itself as a key player in the residential and commercial property sales sectors in the province.

Holding 44% of the market share, Re/Max currently has 5,000 brokers spread across 56 agencies and 145 offices in Quebec.
