“Traitors”. This is the inscription discovered this Friday morning on the facade of the premises of the Landes Federation of the French Communist Party (PCF), in Mont-de-Marsan (Landes), rue des Forgerons. The party’s departmental secretary, Alain Baché, lodged a complaint with the police station.
“Imbecile, unworthy, intolerable”, he is indignant in a press release. “If the authors of this infamous writing knew the history of our country and that of the French Communist Party, they would not have written this word. At no time in its history, past or recent, has the French Communist Party betrayed”.
According to him, this is not an isolated act. “Several PCF premises have been tagged in recent days, we strongly condemn these acts. If stupidity is priceless, politics deserves something other than these hidden acts. We will not let go of the fight that is ours and we will continue, as we do, and we challenge anyone to prove otherwise, to work to win political change that will come through majority left-wing rallies.”
