The Seine-Maritime prefecture has decided to administratively close a micro-crèche in the center of Rouen from Friday April 12 and for at least three months, for “security breaches”, France Bleu Normandie learned. The Beauvoisine micro-crèche was targeted by accusations of mistreatment, also revealed by France Bleu on Tuesday.
After several unannounced checks and formal notices from departmental services, the maternal child protection services and those of the State carried out an inspection on Thursday. The prefecture considers that “all of the facts observed are likely to endanger children”. She points out in particular the lack of space, and a “regularly understaffed supervision rate”.
For several months, several parents and former employees have denounced acts of mistreatment. They notably reported lack of food, unreported injuries and abused children.
