The prefect of the Hautes-Pyrénées communicates this Wednesday on the situation of the fuel supply in the department. Today, it was found that “40% of service stations are partially or totally closed“. These days consumers may have wanted to rush to the pump to buy in anticipation, all this in the context of social movements in the main refineries of France.
To avoid “_preventive purchases detrimental to the proper functioning of service stations_s”, the prefect prohibits the removal and transport of fuel in jerry cans, tanks or portable containers. The prefect also limits the sale of fuel (diesel, super, unleaded 95 and 98) to 30 liters for cars and 200 liters for heavy goods vehicles.
“These restrictions are effective immediately and apply until Friday, October 14 at 11:59 p.m.adds the prefecture. The prefect of the Hautes-Pyrénées calls for good citizenship and everyone’s responsibility and recommends civic behavior to ensure everyone’s satisfaction..”
