(La Prairie) A sixty-year-old driving his motorcycle lost his life following a collision with an SUV type vehicle on Thursday in La Prairie, in Montérégie.
The accident occurred a little before 2 p.m. at the intersection of Chemin de Saint-Jean and Chemin de la Bataille Sud, according to the Roussillon Intermunicipal Police Authority.
The motorcycle caught fire following the impact. Seriously injured, the motorcyclist, aged 68, was transported by ambulance to hospital where he was pronounced dead, the police service said.
The investigation continues to shed light on the causes and circumstances surrounding this collision.
