Dorothée Olliéric, journalist at France Télévisions, special correspondent in Kiev, takes stock of the situation.

“It’s the first time that I’ve really gone down to the shelters with my team, we were at the hotel, and what I’m telling you is not just my story, it’s that of all the people who live in Kiev, Ukrainians who have been going through this for three days and three nights. Suddenly, there is a general alert which is issued by the Kyiv mayor’s office to everyone, which echoes. And everyone must come down in a few seconds, in a few minutes at the shelters. We are a hundred people in the shelter, in the parking lot with the cars”reports Dorothée Olliéric, journalist at France Télévisions, special correspondent in Kiev.

The France Télévisions journalist and her team are locked up in a Kiev hotel without lights. “But it’s quite well organized, people descend calmly. It’s complicated, there may be the final assault and that’s what everyone fears. Suffice to say that the people of Kiev are not sleeping not for three nights”, adds the journalist to France Télévisions.
