Four months since Afghanistan is in the hands of the Taliban and foreign forces have withdrawn. Since then, the population has been in the throes of famine. In some remote areas, families are dying of hunger.

In Bamiyan, Afghanistan, the country’s most vulnerable survive in caves. Since the arrival of the Taliban, they have lost everything. The France 2 teams have met a mother: for the only meal of the day, she has no choice but to prepare potatoes. “Since the arrival of the Molahs three months ago, we have not eaten any meat, fruit or vegetables. (…) I slap my stomach to silence the hunger“, she relates. Men can no longer find the odd daily jobs that previously allowed them to feed their families.
