I wonder if the members of the CAQ live on the same planet as us.
The bill to increase their salary by $30,000 is an affront to a majority of the population. Only beings disconnected from reality could think that it would pass like a letter in the post office. I would like to point out to the Caquiste and Liberal members that many citizens work tirelessly by combining two or three jobs to pay for their housing and their groceries.
Before thinking about giving MPs a 30% raise, it would be more than welcome to raise the minimum wage to $18 an hour. And it would be time at the same time to grant a catch-up salary to state employees. In the National Assembly, there are still people who think like us and who refuse to pocket this sum of $30,000 by donating it to charitable organizations. I have never been so proud to be a member of Québec solidaire (QS). It seems that the Parti Québécois will join QS, and this is possibly the beginning of a new relationship between two brothers who have the same objective of the liberation of Quebec. Jacques Brel was right when he sang that the bourgeois are like pigs, the older it gets, the dumber it becomes.
